Luciano Pavarotti: Oct. 12, 1935 – Sept. 6, 2007

Here’s Toronto Star’s obituary, a tribute in The New York Times, and a video of what would be among his last televised performances: Nessun Dorma, sung at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, in February 2006.
