Canadian Maritimes Tour: Day Three – The tour begins (officially)

Peggy’s Cove was considerably calmer today, save for the excitement of our busload of tourists from around the world. I tried to imitate a photograph I recall from ViewMaster slides years ago.

I took many more pictures (all of which can be seen at my Webshots site, before and after a big breakfast of fishcakes, eggs and toast.

From the St. Margaret’s Bay region it was on to Grand Pré where we heard the emotional story of the expulsion – and subsequent resettlement – of the Acadians.

After a very large lunch, more like dinner, near Wolfville we toured Champlain’s Habitation in Port Royal (home of the Order of Good Cheer) and then drove on to Digby for the night.
