A pleasant diversion for me is less than 24 hours away now as Toronto gets set to celebrate the grand opening of architect Daniel Libeskind’s marvelous addition, and grand new entrance, to the Royal Ontario Museum.
It began on a cocktail napkin (as presented at http://www.rom.on.ca ).
See how it has evolved, and the celebrations that are planned, here.
So long as the weather does not include gale-force winds, I’m going to have my camera at the standing-room-only street party – even if I only get as close as the projection screen!
Then, on Monday afternoon, I’m getting a members’ architectural tour of the interior (without most exhibits mounted yet) to see the building which apparently does not have a single square corner.
